A 31-year-old man was shot multiple times in the parking lot of BevMo! Liquors at 1745 El Camino Real on Sunday night — apparently following a drug sale involving a large quantity of marijuana, police said.
Officers responded to the store about 7:45 p.m. and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital with life threatening injuries. He is in critical but stable condition after undergoing life-saving surgery, police said.
“Sometime during the initial drug transaction, the suspects shot the victim several times,” police reported.
Four suspects fled the scene after the shooting in a black 4-door sedan, similar in size and shape to a Honda, police said.
All four suspects are still outstanding.
“This incident appears to be an isolated criminal incident between the victim and suspect,” police said, adding that persons with information about this case are encouraged to call Detective Joe O’Gorman at (650) 780-7147.
