Tickets are available — but are quickly running out — for this weekend’s two performances of the Hip Hop Nutracker at the Fox Theatre, Redwood City.
The Peninsula Ballet Theatre is presenting its musical twist on the normal Nutcracker on Friday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m.

‘The production features 17 hip hop artists from The Tribe and Poise’n, joined by dancers from Peninsula Ballet Theatre,” according to Fox Theatre.
Meanwhile, those interested in a more traditional Nutcracker can attend one of several shows on Saturday, Dec. 16 of the Peninsula Ballet’s Nutcracker as choreographed by Bay Area dance legend Carlos Carvajal. Show times are 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. There’s also a Sunday show at 2:30 p.m.
