A man was arrested for stabbing his former roommate in the back in the parking lot of a Redwood City apartment complex Tuesday night, police said.
Officers responding to the stabbing report in the 1500 block of Regent Street about 4:14 p.m. located the victim in the parking lot “with a long, thin metal file protruding out of his back,” police said.
“The victim told officers that he was in the parking lot working on his vehicle when his former roommate…stabbed him in the back with the file for no apparent reason,” police said. “The victim was transported to Stanford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.”
Officers located the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Geiman Oswaldo Alvarado Lima, a short time in the 500 block of Redwood Avenue. He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for attempted murder, police said.
