A 44-year-old man allegedly exposed himself to a Caltrain conductor while on the train and also to a passenger while on the Belmont Station platform on Thursday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

The incidents unfolded at 12:25 p.m. when the suspect, identified as Cory Jacobs and described as a transient from the Redwood City area, was riding on Caltrain and allegedly exposed himself and began masturbating in front of a female conductor while he was holding a metal bat, prosecutors said.

The conductor called transit police and at the next stop Jacobs got off the train and allegedly went up to a female passenger on the station platform and exposed himself to her, prosecutors said.

Transit deputies reportedly arrived and arrested Jacobs, who possessed a backpack that contained his metal bat and multiple wallets.

The initial felony arraignment in the case was scheduled for last Friday but Jacobs refused to appear in court or from the jail remotely, prosecutors said. His arraignment was continued to Tuesday and his bail was set at $10,000. He remains in custody.
