Redwood City holding first annual home decorations contest

Are you a Redwood City resident boasting the brightest home on the block this holiday season?

In addition to bragging rights, you can win prizes.

This is the last week residents can enter their holiday decorations to the City of Redwood City’s first annual Holly Jolly Home Decorating Contest.

Entries may be added to the city’s Holly Jolly Holiday Map. They will be judged Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 21-22, and winners will be announced via social media and email on Wednesday, Dec. 23. Entries will be judged on the following categories: Brightest On The Block, Holiday Spirit, and Deck Your Door.

“Prizes include gift cards from local Redwood City businesses and the most coveted award, Holly Jolly Winner Yard Signs, bragging rights included,” the city said.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, Dec. 18, at 5 p.m. There is no cost to enter the contest.
