A Stockton man who was arrested last week in connection with a robbery at the Walgreens in San Carlos is being linked to similar robberies committed in San Mateo and the East Bay, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, deputies responded to a robbery at the Walgreens in the 1400 block of El Camino Real and did not locate the suspect, who the victim described to deputies and who reportedly fled in a four-door sedan.

A subsequent investigation involving assistance from the Oakland Police Department led to the identification of the suspect as David Correra, 28, of Stockton.

Correra was arrested in Oakland on the same day in which the San Carlos Walgreens robbery occurred, the sheriff’s office said.

“This is an active investigation and detectives are working together with multiple agencies from the East Bay to piece together Correra’s crime spree,” deputies said.

Correra was booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of burglary, robbery and conspiracy.

Additional victims, or anyone who has information regarding this incident, is asked to call Det. Serrano, (650) 599-1536.
