A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in North Fair Oaks Tuesday night, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of shots fired at about 11:30 p.m. in the 400 block of 5th Avenue, where they found a man on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
“Deputies did everything they could to save this young man’s life, but unfortunately his injuries were too significant,” the sheriff’s office said.
The motive and suspect in this crime remain under investigation.
