Burlingame is celebrating the renovation of its the playground formerly called the J-Lot Playground — and now called Primrose Playground — located in the J-Lot Parking Lot on Primrose Road in the city’s downtown.
Today, the city was set to hold a ribbon-cutting to reopen the playground.
The design for the new play space was completed by a committee that included a representative of the Burlingame Downtown Business Improvement District, a Parks & Recreation commissioner, city staff and Ross Recreation, according to the city.
Work on the renovation project began in the fall.
The project was funded by the Prop. 68 Per Capita 80/20 matching grant program.
“Hopefully the new playground will provide many hours of fun as families visit our downtown businesses,” city officials said.
