Philz Coffee, The Refuge and Red Door Escape Room are the latest to sign leases to operate in the outdoor North Block Plaza at Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo.
Philz Coffee is the San Francisco-based craft drip company known for its sustainably sourced custom blends and ground-to-order, slow pour coffees. It also offers handmade toasts and bowls, hot breakfasts and baked goods.
The Refuge will open its third Bay Area location offering ‘East Coast street food’ — signature thick-cut pastrami sandwiches, burgers and Belgian beers in a gastropub setting. For more information visit www.refugesc.com.
Red Door Escape Room will be a “fully immersive entertainment experience putting guests’ puzzle solving skills to the test in 60 minute adventures spanning crime, fantasy, action and mystery genres for groups as few as two people.” Family-friendly, birthday and corporate event options are available.
