Redwood City liquor store burglarized

A burglar smashed the window of Emerald City Liquors in Redwood City early today and made off with a cash register containing about $100 in cash and a lottery ticket display, police said.

Police responded to a burglary alarm just before 2 a.m. at the business at 3025 Jefferson Ave. and found the front glass door shattered, but did not locate a suspect.

Surveillance video at the scene showed a male suspect kicking the front glass door, shattering it, then entering the store through the shattered glass, police said.
