The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the attempted armed robbery of a taco truck in North Fair Oaks during which the employee refused to give any money to the suspects.
The incident occurred about 6:28 p.m. Sunday, when deputies responded to Spring Street and Warrington Avenue on a report of an attempted robbery.
“Deputies learned that an employee at the Tacos El Grullo taco truck were approached by two Hispanic male suspects, who brandished black semi–automatic pistols at him and demanded money,” the sheriff’s office said. “The victim feared for his life but refused to give them any money.”
The suspects left in a vehicle southbound on Spring Street. The suspects were described as being in their 20s, standing about 5-4 to 5-8 tall, with slender builds.
