The Magical Bridge Playground is temporarily closed to make way for the installation of shade structures at its Slide Mound, Kindness Corner and Tot Lot, according to Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services.
The park is expected to remain closed through Sunday, May 9.
“We’ll keep you posted about any possible opening times during the week (depending on installation progress),” the city said.

Magical Bridge Playground, a partnership between the city and the Magical Bridge Foundation, opened for the first time in December. The roughly 1-acre playground is a concept developed first in Palo Alto that employs a design that is socially inclusive for children and adults of varying physical and cognitive abilities.
