Redwood City police are investigating a suspicious fire early today that damaged The Record Man, the record store at 1322 El Camino Real.
The incident occurred about 3:45 a.m. Officers arrived to find “a large portion of the northern exterior portion of the building in flames,” according to the Redwood City Police Department.
Redwood City firefighters extinguished the fire. The building sustained significant exterior damage, along with interior damage due to smoke and water, police said.
“Redwood City Fire inspectors determined the fire to be suspicious in nature,” police said.
