The College of San Mateo’s director of marketing and community relations is suspected of engaging in inappropriate sexual acts with two minors, police said.

Richard Rojo, 52, of Stockton, allegedly met one of the victims in November last year via social media. On Dec. 29, San Jose police said they received information that Rojo allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual acts with that victim and another juvenile. The victims were ages 14 and 15 at the time, police said.

After an arrest warrant was issued, Rojo turned himself in and immediately posted bail and is due back in court on June 15, police said.

His status with the College of San Mateo was not immediately known. Check back for updates.

Police are investigating the possibility that there may be additional victims. Anyone with information about this case or other cases involving this suspect is asked to contact Detective Sandoval #4078 of the San José Police Department’s Sexual Assault Investigations Unit at 408-277-4102.
