Fourth of July festivities returned to Redwood City in a big way after a two-year pandemic hiatus.

A day full of free events began with a pancake breakfast with the city’s Fire Department at 8 a.m., and included chalk art on Courthouse Square, a downtown festival, Fourth of July Parade, and a pre-fireworks concert at the Port of Redwood City. The night ended with a fireworks celebration at the port.
