A cyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle on Cañada Road near Filoli Garden in Woodside Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP responded to reports of the crash at about 5 p.m. It appears an Acura sedan traveling northbound on Cañada Road collided with the cyclist who was also traveling northbound, officials said.
The cyclist, a 37-year-old man from South San Francisco, suffered major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Redwood City, and his passenger were transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
The cause of the crash is not known.
