Redwood City police investigate fatal hit-and-run collision

Redwood City police are seeking the public’s help with any information related to a fatal hit and run collision that occurred on Veterans Boulevard on March 31.A bicyclist was fatally struck in the 1100 block of Veterans Boulevard at 9:23 p.m.

The victim has been identified as Manuel Alfonso, 54, who was reportedly homeless.

Police say they have limited suspect information, saying the vehicle is a late 1990s Toyota or Honda sedan that is either gold or white. There is no description of the driver, police said.
