Two suspects were arrested and a firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized following a DUI rollover collision in San Mateo on Sunday, police said.
Police were called to 2nd Avenue and S. Amphlett Blvd. about the collision at 10:42 p.m. and located the vehicle’s occupants, one of whom was stopped after attempting to flee the scene.
The gun and ammunition were discovered after a search of the vehicle, police said.
“Both occupants were medically evaluated at a local trauma center and transported to San Mateo County Jail for booking,” police said.
Junior Casey Leapagadelao, 26, of San Francisco, was booked on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, being a felon in possession of a firearm and other weapons related charges.
Angelica Nataline Reyes, 35, of Richmond, was booked on charges of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, resisting police, and public intoxication disorderly conduct, police said.
