About $790,000 in jewelry, including two Men’s Stanford Football Rose Bowl watches, were stolen during a burglary at an Atherton home on Tuesday, Dec. 8, police said.
The heist occurred sometime between 3:40 p.m. and 7 pm. at a home on Greenoaks Drive, police said.
“The burglars gained entry into the residence by breaking the glass in a second story balcony door,” police said. “It appears the suspect(s) climbed up the side of the house using a downspout.”
A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the crime, according to the Atherton Police Department.
