Residents can learn how different agencies are responding to and preparing for future wildfires in San Mateo County during a Zoom meeting this Thursday.
County Supervisor Don Horsley, San Mateo County Parks Director Nicholas Calderon, Cal Fire Deputy Chief John Cox and others will participate in the discussion from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Residents are asked to bring their questions and to register in advance here.
The online forum is organized by OneShoreline and the LEague of Women Voters as part of a series on climate risk and resilience.
“This forum will focus on the County’s vulnerability to wildfire and what is being done now by agencies, neighborhoods and individuals to reduce the risk,” according to organizers.
