A 23-year-old man suffered serious injuries early Saturday after he was stabbed during a fight in front of a bar in unincorporated Redwood City, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Just after 2 a.m., deputies were called to Mazzacco’s club at 808 Middlefield Rd., where they found the victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
Three to four suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a dark-colored luxury sedan, the sheriff’s office said. No arrests have been announced in connection with the case.
“Early investigation strongly suggests this was a targeted act of violence based on a personal dispute and there is no ongoing threat to public safety,” the sheriff’s office said.
