A 32-year-old man is in stable condition after being stabbed in San Carlos early Thursday, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded at about 1:14 a.m. to the 700 block of Elm Street on a report of a stabbing and found the victim with serious injuries. He remains hospitalized and in stable condition, the Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Following an investigation that continued throughout Thursday, Sheriff’s Office detectives went to the 1600 block of Sunnyslope Avenue in Belmont, joined by K-9 unit and drone units. They arrested Samuel Kankel, 27, in a residence there and booked him into Maguire Correctional Facility on the charge of attempted murder.
