Redwood City’s Pride flag-raising ceremony will take place at Courthouse Square Wednesday, May 31, at 5:30 p.m.
The two-hour-long event will begin with welcome and comments from Mayor Jeff Gee and Dana Johnson from the LGBTQ Commission, followed by the Pride Flag raising ceremony.
Attendees will then enjoy a captivating short film that explores the journey of self-discovery and self-expression. The film will be introduced by Tony Gapastione. Then, the movie “Kinky Boots” will be screened, a heartwarming story that celebrates diversity, acceptance and the power of embracing one’s true self. The event will also feature a Pride heart photo booth and resource table.
