Community volunteers are invited to help plant eight large trees at the Sequoia High School campus this Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to noon.
In addition to planting, tree stumps will be removed and a general clean up of a segment of the campus will occur, according to City Trees, the group that organizes volunteer urban tree-planting on the mid-Peninsula and has planted over 2,800 trees since 2000.
At this planting, City Trees is partnership with Pacific Gas & Electric Co., Davey Tree Expert Company, the Sequoia High School Alumni Association and the Sequoia High School Administration.
“Come join us in planting 8 large trees on the historic Sequoia High School campus to celebrate Arbor Day 2018,” City Trees announced on Facebook. No prior experience is necessary, and we hope it will be great fun!”
