Two suspects were arrested in connection with a home burglary in the 3000 block of Fair Oaks Avenue in unincorporated Redwood City on Monday.
About 4:38 p.m., San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the residents on a report of a residential burglary and learned that an unknown male and unknown female had jumped over a neighbor’s fence and gained access to the property.
“Deputies quickly set up a perimeter and found forced entry into the garage,” the sheriff’s office said. “While securing the perimeter, two suspects exited the garage and were later arrested for entering the residence without permission.”
The suspects were identified as 42- year-old Cedric Sanders and 36-year-old Vanessa Sepulveda, both of whom are Redwood City residents, the sheriff’s office said. Sanders was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and a search of his vehicle uncovered three apparently stolen catalytic converters, the sheriff’s office said.
The investigation is ongoing, deputies said.
