‘San Carlos AANHPI Community Celebration’ honors AANHPI month

The Community Foundation of San Carlos will honor the heritage of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders during AANHPI month with the “San Carlos AANHPI Community Celebration” Sat., May 13 from 2-5 p.m. at the San Carlos Youth Center. The event is free to attend.

A whole lineup of performances will kick off at 2:30 p.m. that day, including local Bharatanatyam dancers, members of the American Chinese Youth Performing Art Foundation, and the San Carlos Tai Chi group, according to the foundation. Cultural demonstrations and crafts from AANHPI entities will also be part of the festivities.

The foundation invites families, eateries and nonprofit organizations to donate refreshments, host a craft/info table or to volunteer at the AANHPI-centric celebration. Reach out to the foundation at info@sancarloscf.org.
